OCD Antiques

So, a little known fact about me: I am diagnosed with and suffer, badly, from OCD. It has been part of my life since I was a kid. Being in the art and antiques business makes things especially difficult. In some ways, the perfectionism aspect of OCD has allowed me to excel in many areas, however, the other side of that coin has made life very challenging.

I'm not 100% sure how yet, but I want to find a way to use my journey as a way to bring awareness and ideally help others who struggle with OCD, anxiety and depression.

For now, as a shopper reading this, here are some of the PROs to my OCD:

* The objects in my shop and my collection are meticulously cared for.
* All of my inventory is kept in strictly enforced temperature and humidity regulated spaces
* All of my inventory is transported, handled, and stored with avid free, archival materials only.
* I treat every object in my possession as if it were a museum quality piece (in many cases, they are).
* I only source and sell "clean" objects, meaning no mold, mouse droppings, or any other "contaminants". (very hard in this business!)
