These necklaces are assembled in New England and offered here by American Objects.

They are made with original new old stock WWII era souvenir torpedos from the US Naval Ordnance Station, Forest Park and 30” stainless steel ball chains manufactured in the USA by the exclusive supplier to the US Military who has been making these chains for over 80 years. A 4.5” extension is also included with each order if you want to use the torpedo as a keychain.

There are two variations of the necklace for sale. One is stamped and reads “US NAVAL ORDNANCE STATION FOREST PARK” and the second is unstamped and features a plain, unmarked torpedo. Make sure to choose which one you want in the dropdown when purchasing. The torpedo pendant measures ∼2” long. They are very highly detailed.

Own and wear a unique piece of history around your neck or share it with someone you know who appreciates American manufacturing and American history!

I recently found a small cache of these authentic vintage torpedos that were most likely made in the 1940s or 1950s at the plant’s machine shop and sold as souvenir keychains to support production. Found in Illinois where they have been stored away for decades. The Forest Park plant produced 19,000 torpedos for the war effort, so these are a true piece of American history!

Condition: These are new old stock and in amazing condition. Most still have their original sheen. There may be some small tool marks or scratches from long term storage, and each torpedo may vary slightly due to how they were manufactured.
