A note on photography:
For original artworks, since these are physical objects, I try to photograph them in natural lighting, how I see them in a space, as opposed to the archival reproductions which are shot in a studio or scanned by a large format scanner (by major museums and galleries) with scientific accuracy in mind, so that when printed as an object, they can then "adapt" to your eye.
This approach is something I fought with for a long time, but I believe that seeing textures, reflections, and color as you would with the object in your hand is important. In the future, I may photograph some of the paintings I find in a way that they can be reproduced, but for now, the ownership of the art is a large part of the missing of American Artworks™
